Post GameDev.tv Jam 2025 Update
So that marks the end of my very first game jam!
It was a ton of fun and very educational, I've already signed up for three more jams in the next few months.
While the feedback on my game was generally quite good, and my ranking placed me somewhere in the top third of games, there was one criticism that was universal among the comments: Selecting mice was too finicky and the mice didn't feel responsive in their work.
I've decided to update the game and keep developing it to see where it might go. I feel like there is still a lot of game to explore here.
I'm keeping the original jam submission as a downloadable WebGL build for posterity. I've also updated the mouse controls:
Left clicking is now only for selecting mice, right clicking is now used to order mice to designated jobs.
This should make miss clicking less prevalent.
If anyone that left a comment during the jam sees this: Thanks for playing and the awesome feedback!
